To join LPU NSS, you need to be a student of Lovely Professional University. At the beginning of each academic year, NSS conducts registration drives where interested students can sign up. You can also visit the NSS office on campus or contact the Program Officer for more information.
LPU NSS conducts a wide range of activities including blood donation camps, tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, awareness programs on social issues, health check-up camps, educational programs in adopted villages, and special camping programs.
As per NSS guidelines, each volunteer is expected to complete 120 hours of regular activities in a year and participate in a Special Camp of 7 days' duration. These hours are spread across various activities and events throughout the academic year.
Joining NSS offers numerous benefits including personality development, leadership skills, teamwork experience, community service exposure, and a certificate upon completion of required service hours. NSS volunteers also get preference in certain government jobs and higher education institutions.
Absolutely! LPU NSS encourages volunteers to come up with innovative ideas for community service. You can submit your project proposal to the Program Officer or the Student Coordinator. If found feasible and impactful, your project may be implemented with necessary support.
